The firm ranked 10th in the U.S.-based construction industry and engineering news magazine Engineering News Record (ENR)'s 2021 ENR Top International Survey's "global construction management and project management" category.
HanmiGlobal moved up one place to 10th from last year in the category for the top 20 non-U.S. firms, recording a revenue of $241.3 million in 2020.
The company also ranked 10th in revenue generated overseas, up six places from last year, recording $147.5 million in 2020.
HanmiGlobal is the only Korean company to make it into the non-U.S. global top 20 list for construction management and project management firms.
ENR's ranking is determined by annual revenue. HanmiGlobal first made it onto the non-U.S. global list of 20 firms in 2005, when it recorded $32.5 million in revenue and ranked 18th.
HanmiGlobal was established as a project management firm in 1996 and offers services for the efficient management of construction projects.
The company has undertaken 2,600 projects here and overseas, including the Seoul World Cup Stadium, the Lotte World Tower, Jang Bogo Station in Antarctica and Singapore's Marina Bay Sands hotel. HanmiGlobal entered overseas markets in the early 2000s and has overseen management for a diverse range of construction projects, including skyscrapers, energy plants and other infrastructure projects in 59 countries.
HanmiGlobal saw a rise in revenue from projects involving semiconductor plants, as well as data and logistic centers, last year. The company is in the process of expanding projects in the sector of renewable energy.
"Given the fact that HanmiGlobal has grown into a global project management firm representing Korea, we feel a greater responsibility and will do our best for the success of our clients' construction projects, using the highest technology," HanmiGlobal CEO Kim Jong-hoon was cited as saying in a press release.
