SK Networks' U.S. investment firm Hico Capital plans to pursue a global partnership with Bow Capital to expand global investments, according to SK Networks, Wednesday. The company held a partnership event at the Rosewood Sand Hill Hotel in Silicon Valley, California, Tuesday (local time), to promote the partnership with Bow Capital. In attendance were Bow Capital Chairman Vivek Ranadive and Choi Sung-hwan, president & COO of SK Networks' business division.
The two companies aim to provide differentiated added value, including investments in early-stage tech startups, by combining their investment experience, networks and systems. Choi will serve as an adviser, supporting investment sourcing and review.
Bow Capital, a global venture investment firm based in Silicon Valley, was founded by Ranadive, who also serves as CEO and owner of the NBA team Sacramento Kings. Bow Capital is expanding its investment business in collaboration with the University of California, which comprises 10 campuses, six medical facilities and hospitals, and three national research institutes.
"Hico Capital and Bow Capital share a common perspective on future technologies and investment philosophies," an SK Networks official said. "Through this partnership, we will enhance our investment capabilities and establish a foundation to expand into the global investment arena beyond the early stages."
