MADRID (AP) – Spain's health minister said Sunday that Spaniards should not expect to see professional soccer restart before the summer.
스페인 보건장관은 스페인인들이 여름 전에 프로축구가 재개하는 것을 기대해서는 안 된다고 일요일 말했다.
Spain has been without soccer since March 12, two days before the nation went into a strict lockdown under a state of emergency to battle its savage coronavirus outbreak that has claimed more than 22,000 lives.
22,000명 이상의 목숨을 앗아간 야만적인 코로나바이러스에 맞서기 위한 국가 비상사태 아래 발효된 엄격한 락다운 돌입 이틀 전인 3월 12일 이후로 스페인에서는 축구경기가 열리지 않고 있다.
"It would be reckless for me to say now that professional football will be back before the summer," Salvador Illa said.
살바도르 이야 스페인 보건장관은 "지금 프로축구가 여름 전에 돌아올 것이라고 말하는 것은 무모한 짓일 것"이라고 말했다.
The Spanish league had already said that play would not resume before late May. Madrid's mayor had said that he does not expect football before the end of the summer.
스페인 프로축구리그(라리가)는 이미 5월 말 이전에는 경기가 재개되지 않을 것이라고 밝힌 바 있다. 마드리드 시장은 여름이 끝나기 전까지는 축구 경기를 기대하지 않는다고 말했다.
The government's health officials, led by Illa, have the final say to authorize the return of sporting activities that would bring together groups of people and present a collective contagion risk.
이야 보건장관이 이끄는 스페인 정부의 보건 관료들은 사람들을 모아 집단 감염 위험을 야기하는 스포츠 활동의 재개를 승인할 최종 결정권을 가지고 있다.
