Fans of Le Sserafim can exchange their "Digital Souvenirs" of the K-pop girl group for new collectible digital cards known as "Take," according to Levvels, Thursday.
The joint venture established by Dunamu, a leading blockchain and fintech company, and HYBE, an entertainment company housing multinational music labels, announced that the exchange can be done via its digital collectible platform Momentica, ahead of the first drop of Le Sserafim's own digital Take collectibles.
The Digital Souvenirs were released as part of a special event in celebration of Le Sserafim's debut in early April, allowing new fans to create souvenir images online featuring the group's members. These creations can now be exchanged via Momentica for Take. Fans who participated in creating Digital Souvenirs in April's event can exchange them for the digital cards by inputting the promotion code provided at the Digital Souvenir registration website, le-sserafim.com.
Levvels launched Momentica as its flagship platform for fan-artist engagement. Built on innovative and sustainable blockchain technology, Momentica took inspiration from K-pop fandom characterized by a thriving photo card collection community. It extended the collectible culture into the digital space in the form of Take, the unique collectible digital cards celebrating a variety of beloved artists.
In partnership with the platform, Le Sserafim will release its first digital collectibles on Dec. 29. The group's Take cards will provide users with unique and exclusive experiences through digital collectibles via Momentica, such as photos, videos, voice messages, original handwriting and handwritten signatures of each member. For three weeks after they drop, users will be able to access new concepts of Le Sserafim Take every week.
The company also announced several enhancements to its Momentica service, to make it more user-friendly, streamlined, open and accessible.
Users can enjoy new functions, including simplified product categories, and a new and improved Take drop system which aims at increasing fan accessibility. It also introduced Collect Board, a roadmap of collectibles due for release that users can reference at a glance.
"The improvement aims at enhancing user accessibility to our fandom-friendly platform and better communicating the joy of digital collectibles," Levvels COO Ryan Jang said. "Momentica will continue to add new features to expand its unique collecting experience and keep providing new ways for fans to have fun."
Momentica also plans to launch the Shuffle feature in January 2023, enabling users to swap Take for random alternatives from the Take Pool, along with a secondary trading feature, to provide broader opportunities through the Take collectible experience.
