Hana Financial Group launched a team of honorary ambassadors composed of college students, who will be promoting the financial group under the theme of sports.

The 50 young representatives belong to the 16th team of SMART Ambassadors, a program Hana launched for college students in 2012. The honorary ambassadors promote the banking group's brand for four months, during which they have the chance to experience and spread Hana's mission of providing financial services for "Growing Together, Sharing Happiness."

The 16th team will be engaged in diverse missions under the theme of sports, according to Hana. Their activities will include planning some fun and interesting narratives to accompany the various sports teams as well as reviewing the group's official YouTube channel, Hana TV and also producing additional social media coverage.

They will also complete diverse missions in social contribution activities related to Hana Power On Care, the financial group's support program for young single mothers and underprivileged teenagers. The group expects these activities will help expand its environment, social and corporate governance (ESG) objectives.

SMART Ambassadors has been a very popular program among college students as the group provides the members with the opportunity to engage in volunteering activities overseas on top of some monetary compensation for their activities. They also receive some benefits if they later apply for jobs at Hana Financial Group.

"Under our new vision All Connected in Hana Finance, the group and our ambassadors will be working together to provide financial services that go beyond finance and benefit everyone," Hana Financial Group Chairman Ham Young-joo said at the launch ceremony of the latest team of ambassadors.

He encouraged the ambassadors to be opinion leaders who lead change with bold decisions when faced with challenges.

Since its launch, Hana's SMART Ambassadors program has produced 864 ambassadors. They have been in continuing contact with the group even after completion of their terms.
