TREASURE's second full-length album "Reboot" ― which came out on July 28 ― has sold more than 1.71 million copies in total, according to album sales tracker Circle Chart, Thursday. According to the group's management company YG Entertainment, this is more than a three-fold increase from its second mini-album "The Second Step : Chapter Two" (2022).
"TREASURE recently toured 17 Asian countries, staging 40 performances," YG said in a statement. "It seems the tour has contributed to the growth in album sales … The group's achievement is a testament to the expansion of its global presence and fandom."
"Reboot" is fronted by the lead single, "Bona Bona" ― a dance track peppered with powerful brass sounds and drum beats. The track ranked first on iTunes song chart in 20 countries upon its release.
"We tried to display our growth and maturity in our new album," TREASURE said during a press event at the headquarters of YG in Mapo District, northern Seoul, July 28.
TRASURE burst onto the music scene with the album, "The First Step: Chapter One" in 2020. It is the first K-pop act debuting for YG following its launch of girl group BLACKPINK in 2016.
