BOY STORY, JYP Entertainment's Chinese boy group, made its first appearance on a televised music program in Korea, as it looks to find further success outside of mainland China.
BOY STORY released its title track "Z.I.P" (Zero is the Only Passion) from their titular second mini-album at 1 p.m. Korea Time on Friday, along with the music video for the track.
They took to the stage on Mnet's "M Countdown" on Thursday, which will be followed by appearances on KBS2's "Music Bank" on Friday, MBC's "Show! Music Core" on Saturday and SBS's "Inkigayo" on Sunday. The group will perform the English version of their new track Z.I.P on these broadcasts, as they mark their debut on Korean airwaves.
BOY STORY will continue to engage with fans back in their native China, with a mini-album showcase tour for Z.I.P scheduled in Chengdu on August 12, Guangzhou on August 20 and Nanjing on August 27.
Their title track "Z.I.P" features powerful hip hop beats that showcase BOY STORY's energy and drive, with its lyrics sending a message of never giving up in the face of setbacks and adversity.
BOY STORY is a boy group that was jointly formed by JYP Entertainment's Chinese subsidiary and Tencent Music Entertainment Group. It is comprised solely of Chinese artists and is one of the hallmarks of JYP Entertainment's new strategy of "Globalization by Localization." As the first idol group that was formed under this concept, BOY STORY has achieved remarkable success on various levels while opening up new opportunities for aspiring idol stars in China,
The English version of BOY STORY's new title track "Z.I.P" was released along with its music video at 1 p.m. KST on Friday. Pre-orders for their second mini-album will become available next Tuesday.
