From friendship to romance, some actors share their on- and off-screen chemistry to create buzz around their films and TV series.
Although actresses Song Hye-kyo and Han So-hee confirmed they would depart from TV series "The Price of Confession," the pair had exchanged friendly banter in recent weeks even after news broke that the two stars will not be starring the drama series.
Han continued to express her affection for Song, saying "You're still mine" on one of Song's most recent social media posts.
"The Price of Confession" is a murder mystery drama with the central plot revolving around two women, and fans had been eagerly anticipating the collaboration between Han and Song. The amicable social media comments exchanged between the two stars have generated a lot of fan buzz and provided a source of entertainment for their fans, even if their highly-anticipated on-screen collaboration may have to wait just a little longer.

The cast members of Netflix series "The Glory" have also maintained off-screen friendship. The drama is a tale of revenge centered on the lead character Moon Dong-eun (played by Song), who was abused by her schoolmates, played by Lim Ji-yeon, Kim Hieora, Cha Joo-young, Kim Gun-woo and Park Sung-hoon, as a teen 17 years ago.
The actors have long paraded their friendship on social media for all their fans to enjoy, even role-playing and referring to one another by the names of their characters in the drama series.
The real-life friendship between these on-screen characters has been a delight for drama fans. Not only does it demonstrate their chemistry as actors, but it allows fans to stay immersed in their favorite series long after it has ended.
"The Price of Confession" is still in pre-production, but it's already benefited from the rapport shared by Song and Han until the news of their departure was announced. The online exchanges between the cast of "The Glory" has kept the buzz surrounding the hit series going.
Culture critic Jung Duk-hyun said when actors express their thrill of working with a fellow actor, it often makes them a more likable figure to both fan bases, who are naturally interested in the private lives of their favorite stars and who their friends are. According to him, the effects of such phenomena are amplified in the world of social media.
