K-pop girl group NATURE has made a comeback after about 10 months with its third mini-album, "NATURE WORLD: CODE W," Nov. 6, showing off another dynamic performance with its title song, "LIMBO!"
The nine-piece girl group ― comprised of Sohee, Saebom, Aurora, Lu, Chaebin, Haru, Loha, Uchae and Sunshine ― has caught people's eyes earlier this year with its song, "RICA RICA," a trot-infused pop song with its choreography based on the African traditional dance, Zaouli.
The group expressed their hope of garnering bigger popularity with yet another unique performance of their new song. Members Lu and Sunshine have not participated in the group's activities for this album due to health issues.
"We have gotten a lot of responses (from fans) that they want to see a different concept from 'RICA RICA.' So we've spent 10 months preparing for this album. I'm excited to show a new style," Sohee told The Korea Times during a recent interview at the group's agency, n.CH Entertainment, in Gangnam District, southern Seoul.
"When we released 'RICA RICA,' there was some feedback that the performance is somewhat comical. So (with this one) we tried to bring out our unique, distinctive performance, but also put in a lot of thought not to look silly … The choreography for the new song fits so well with the lyrics, so it was so much fun to practice. I hope the audience will also enjoy the dance."
The group's new album consists of five tracks, including "LIMBO!," "RICA RICA" and "I'm Done."
The title track, "LIMBO!," is a trance genre song, infused with different styles like hyper pop and reggae.

Loha shared that the team intended the dance to be easy to follow, aiming to create a dance challenge trend on social media.
"Nowadays, challenges are trending on Instagram reels or TikTok. So instead of making the choreography complicated, our goal was to have eye-catching dance moves for the chorus part so that people can follow for a challenge," she said. "Because the song's title is 'LIMBO!' we put in limbo moves that many have enjoyed"
The group created a buzz along with "RICA RICA" after releasing a mockumentary about the group's struggle as a "not famous K-pop group," showing the group preparing for the song.
The members shared that the show has made them stronger and more receptive to taking on challenges and hardships.
"A lot of people felt pity for us but there were also people who said we have a very strong mentality. And that's true. That's why we can show off strong performances like 'RICA RICA,' that no other K-pop group could have done," Haru said.
Saebom added, "I hope our new song will set a milestone for our group to become more familiar to the public."
The group expressed their new goal is to go on a world tour, from the United States, Europe and South America to Azerbaijan, where the group has gained popularity. "We are ready to make the tour. If we are given the chance, we are ready to make the most of it," Sohee said.
